MOSSEL BAY CAMPUS
In Mossel Bay, the support and encouragement of several courageous men led to the establishment of what is today known as the Mossel Bay Campus of South Cape College. This Campus delivers excellent service to our immediate area, The Klein Karoo and across the entire South Africa.
Tuition started in one classroom with post school technical training. It was the intention to allow students from previously disadvantaged groups to have access to training so that qualifications could be upgraded and skills be acquired.
The Mossel Bay Campus was mainly established to accommodate Engineering Studies, but soon found a need for Business Studies on post matric levels: N4, N5, N6. However, from 1999 onwards, the Mossel Bay Campus also started with pre matric levels in Business Studies, namely NIC, NSC.
With the help of PetroSA, who donated a modern Computer Center and numerous firms which contributed to an Electronic Workshop and equipment, the South Cape College, Mossel Bay Campus was founded in 2002. From a small beginning and with an initial 17 student enrolment in 1993, Mossel Bay Campus student numbers rose to a high 1 300 students in 2004. This campus is currently the only training institution/venue between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth offering technical programmes with e-learning facilities to assist students.
Today this campus is the niche campus for engineering related NCV's in brand new workshops & classrooms.
